A perfect place to relax.
Since 15 years, we offer accomodation to guests who want to experience the nature of the Iska gorges, see a night sky untainted by street lights and enjoy healthy mountain farm food. As Slovenia is such a small country, Osredek can be used as a "base camp" not only for exploring Ljubljana and the karst region but also to see the Mediterranean coast or the alpine lakes of Bled and Bohinj. Most of our guests come from other EU-countries but some have made it from as far as Guatemala, Japan or Australia.
Guests are accomodated on the second floor of our farmhouse. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one dining room and a small guest kitchen. In a separate building, we have a large dining room with adjacent terrace for as many as 40 guests.
Judita Strle has acquired quite a name for her good cooking. As much as possible she uses fresh ingredients harvested on her own farm in Osredek. After many years of experimenting she has found her own cooking style, using traditional recipes but adapting them to the requirements of a light and healthy cuisine.
